Musings

So I'm a new mom . . .again.
I'm overwhelmed. . . again. I'm tired. . . all the time. But I'm offering HOPE!!

Did you guys read the article in the Ensign about the mom who was helplessly overwhelmed?
She felt like a failure because she couldn't keep up on her kids & housework, let alone work on food storage, do family history, go to the temple, even struggled to read scriptures.

Then she read in Mosiah about King Benjamin's speech.
Mosiah 4:26 "And now, for the sake of these things which I have spoken unto you—that is, for the sake of retaining a remission of your sins from day to day, that ye may awalk guiltless before God—I would that ye should bimpart of your substance to the cpoor, every man according to that which he hath, such as dfeeding the hungry, clothing the naked, visiting the sick and administering to their relief, both spiritually and temporally, according to their wants."

Then she realized that she WAS doing all those things - for her kids & Family. She feeds the, clothes them, administers to them... and God will fill in the rest!

How cool is that?! So if you feel tired or overwhelmed, remember motherhood is a divine calling and you do the best you can and God will fill in the rest :). MOMS ROCK!!!

My favorite quote/tidbit of advice lately is "Need less/Do less"; and the condition of my house is definitely the defining result:)
