Thank goodness for DVR's. Chunk & I only wasted 20 minutes instead of 2 hours of our lives watching the Season Finale of American Idol.
Chunk & I were balking nearly the whole time at the idea of bringing famous singers/groups in to sing with the final 13. We had a great time making fun of who each contestant was paired up with. (Danny Gokey & Lionel Richie??? FOR REALS??)
So when Chunk suggested that Adam would be hooked up with KISS, we laughed and laughed
UNTIL ADAM REALLY WAS!!! I was laughing so hard I was crying! Chunk kept shaking his head laughing because of how ludicrous it was. (I can't wait to call my mother in law and see if she still likes Adam after he sang with Kiss)
I'm just sooooo glad we didn't have to waste 2 hours of our lives for Tatiana Del Toro or Bikini Girl. And YAY for Kris Allen!!! I voted for you dude!!!! GOOD LUCK OUT THERE!!!!

Bikini girl is utterly offensive. Not because she's mostly naked, but that she's so stinkin' smug about it...
oh this is going to be a long comment.
I think the contestants can put in requests for artists can't they? May be they just have a list of everyone coming out with a new album and then pair them with their best fit.
So the best man totally won. I site my reasons:
Star potentialFirst of all Kris performed with a currently hot artist, Keith Urban.
Adam played with a bunch of out-of-shape, old men with paint all over themselves that peaked, may be, as recently as the 80s, but most likely before that.
GenuinessI think the reason that we like reality TV as a nation is because we get to see real people like us up on screen.
Adam isn't like us. He wears more make-up than I do. He is already dressing and wearing his hair like the rockstar he isn't.
Kris is real, humble and just like us. He was in awe of the Idol opportunity and couldn't believe he won.
Enjoy your earful. I may have to copy this and put it up on my own blog.

What's American Idol? I've gotten bored with that show after watching the 2nd season (which I never did see the first) hahaha
I did check out those updates of David Cook that you sent out when that was going on, and that was super impressive and cool, but I'm glad I didn't sit down and watch it ... just see the highlight on youtube and stuff hehehe.
Both Davids were out here just last week actually and it was a huge deal here, but we didn't go see them ... just a side not.
