THE SECRET IS FINALLY OUT!!!

SO. . . where DID Kelly kidnap me to for our 10 year anniversary?
(And let me tell you - he did an amazing job keeping it a secret! We were gone for nearly a week!)

He drove up Bangerter to I-80 (which he had me convinced we were going to Wendover lol)
He drove straight to the airport at which point I said" I don't care where we're going - - WE'RE FLYING!!!!" I love to fly. I didn't even know where we were headed until we had to check through security and I had to have my boarding pass for the airplane :).

So where did we go you ask?

Well - we hiked up to the top of a waterfall.

We snuggled under a LARGE Sequoia Tree

We saw amazing sites!

We visited the local LDS temple to add it to our list.

We drove down the world's crookedest street

We were "locked up" in a world famous prison.

AND - we visited the Golden Gate Bridge - which I have fallen in love with.

YES - WE WENT TO SAN FRANCISCO, CA & YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK!!!

We had sooooo much fun! We flew into San Francisco Monday night & drove halfway to Yosemite. (It's 4 hours from San Fran). Then we drove the rest of the way and explored the park for 2 days. It was beautiful. I've never seen a place like it in my life! TONS of waterfalls, one of which we hiked up. It was pretty scary, the trail was steep & wet from the mist and you only had the rocks on one side or the cliff on the other. (Yes, i cried and wanted to turn back, but Kelly pushed me on and we made it to the top!)

Then we drove back to San Francisco and did all the touristy things you'd expect. Our Hotel was on Union Square so we walked around all the Posh shops (We even found a jacket in Saks 5th Avenue for a mere $4,789 - no lie. It was insane!)

We visited Lombard Street - the crookedest street in the world. Coit Tower with views of the bay, Golden Gate State Park & Golden Gate bridge. Then we took the tour of Alcatraz & Angel Island. We had a bowl of clam chowder on Fisherman's Wharf. We rode the cable cars. We had dinner at this awesome Thai place (I've never had Thai food before). And spent the afternoon in Chinatown! It was incredible!!!

I think we may have to move to California. :) I just LOVE it there!!

And a shout out to the Grandmas!!! (FrammaJO & Framma Patty) Thanks for watching the boys for us! It was like the honeymoon we never had :). Thanks so much!!! :)
(and Tommy and/or Kristy - if you're reading this, Kelly & I wanted to try to come and visit you guys while we were out there. We just didn't have enough time and Kelly said if he'd planned a little further ahead, we could've met you guys some where. :( Oh well! that just means ANOTHER trip to California!! :) WE love you!!!)

What!?!? You were that close to us and you didn't even call...a whole week??... I guess where not mad as long as you guys had a lot of fun and it sounds like you did. It probably seemed like you didn't have a lot of time there because you probably spent most of it in you Hotel room. wink, wink! Don't worry we still love you and honestly we don't feel bad, but we do miss you guys and it would of been a lot of fun to get together. Happy Anniversary! We love ya'
