Colby is HILARIOUS! I honestly don't know where this kid came from. . . except that he is a CLONE of his father!! I have no claim upon this child, except i SWEAR I did give birth to him. (Like I could forget that)
A side note: You have to know that Colby is ALWAYS in his underpants. The minute he walks in the door, you can see the trail of clothes from the back door into his bedroom and he remains practically naked until morning when I basically threaten him to get dressed for school. Those 8 hours at school must be the LONGEST of his life. (And yes, he answers the door in his underwear. He has no qualms about it.)
So on Wednesday, Brady & Colby are fighting. Colby decks Brady and Brady comes crying to me. So I take Brady back to the scene of the crime and say, "Colby, you have no right to hit Brady. You tell him you're sorry right now."
While I'm stewing about what appropriate punishment he deserves, Colby sidles up to Brady, puts his arm around him and very unconvincingly says, "Brady, I'm sorry".
(here's the kicker! the reason you were reading this whole lame explanation to begin with)
He then says,
"Let my nakedness comfort you."
Brady instantly cracked up and I laughed so hard I thought I would pee my pants! Where does he come up with this stuff? Well and he's pretty sly too because we were laughing so hard, we forgot about a punishment and Colby went on his merry way.
