Quick Update

So Amazingly, yes, I have children and a husband and stuff. . . and I'm the only one obsessed with baby! lol!! So here's what happened this weekend.

Colby scored a basket at his Jr. Jazz game!! He was so thrilled!! We also are testing him for the ALPS program - which is accelerated placement for school. Colby is so smart he can do all of Brady's 3rd grade homework and gets bored in class. His only drawback is that he's lazy and he'd rather play than work (who doesn't, right?)
So we're finished for the one day of testing and I asked him, How did it go? Colby's like "oh mom. It was so easy. This story we read was so silly and then they made me fill out bubbles." LOL! I hope that means GOOD RESULTS!!

Brady earned his wolf badge at Pack Meeting. He also earned his gold arrow and a silver arrow. He will be 9 on the 19th so one more Den Meeting and he moves up to Bear. It's crazy how fast time goes the older your kids get. He teased me that he'd go to YW's with me in a couple of years. . . . I'm not even going there!! . . . His team also won their Jr. jazz game by 22 to 10.

Kelly started school last night. I'll basically see him on weekends now... but we're hoping this will help him with his job and stabilize him in a weak economy.

WE ARE PRIMING AND PAINTING THE BASEMENT!!! I'm soooooo excited to get my house back! :) and then Brady will move downstairs, Colby will move into the computer room and Baby X will move into the boys room (After 3 months of course).

And of course, all that baby Jazz!! :)

Sounds like things are good. Exciting changes in your house. Yay!
Dane said the same thing about the ALPS test. A huge portion of it is what his current teacher says about him. He'd be going into 3rd grade, right? Growing up too fast!

When we had Ashley tested a couple years ago for Granite Districts gifted program(I'm assuming it's about the same) there was a survey that I, as well as her teacher had to fill out in addition to the test(which was the SAT, but for two grades higher). The test results accounted fot two-thirds,and each survey was one-sixth of the weighted score. So, yes it holds some weight but not huge. Happy birthday again by the way.
