I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE MY YOUNG WOMEN!!

Tonight was our Young Women in Excellence - and our Laurels were in charge. They did such an outstanding job!! I am so proud of them!! The evening was such a HUGE success! the Spirit was so strong and the program was just amazing! not to mention, Cara & Natalie earned their YW Medallions tonight!!!! GOOD JOB GIRLS!!!

Tonight is one of the perks of my calling! I feel like such a proud mom - - well more like a sister - -to watch these girls internalize the program into their lives and become stronger, better people!
Their testimonies have grown so much! They are such a light and strength to the church and to the world! I just love my calling!! I've been extra lucky because I've been in the program for 5 years now...so my Beehives then are my Laurels now. :) (crazy, I know. I guess I haven't learned what I needed to yet! ha ha ha I hope I never do)

Here's some pix of our fun night!

Our Young Women's Group - including leaders

Cara & Natalie showing off those HARD EARNED medallions!

Tricia Layton made our cake for the evening! She's amazing!

And our new YW Presidency - - aka the people I could never do my calling without!!:
Tricia Layton (aka Delicia), Kristy Singley (aka Frisky, Sistah K), Me (aka Sistah G, Nanie or Yawnie) and Jen Jackson (who has no nickname yet since she was just called & sustained on Sunday)
I love my girls & my leaders. They are such amazing people! I feel so lucky to be involved with every single one of them! :)
(of course, I could NEVER EVER do my calling without a loving & supportive hubby and family at home who have to suffer through long nights like this and leftover hamburger soup so mom can run away and do her calling. So I love my boys too!!! even the BIG ONE :) )

Ah, so cute! I love YW. I can't say it enough. I hope I'm in the program for long enough to see many of our girls earn their medallions.

You are so good at what you do... that's why you've been in there so long.

I'm sad I didn't get the chance to be your ward camp director:(

By the way, I'm glad last night went well. I saw the signs on the door when we were there for our ward party. I'm sure the building was a little chaotic.

OMG! we were told we could have the whole building and panicked when we saw your ward party going on! Luckily, we staked out the relief society room before anything got out of hand :). Maybe you'll be the STAKE Camp director. . . :) I think there's a future there :)
