Edward Prefers Brunettes - - BUT BLONDES HAVE MORE FUN!!!

I dunno how many of ya'll have been to that there County Fair - but this was my first adventure there! (We usually hit the State Fair cuz we love the booths!)

So FrammaJO, me & the boys take an outing and check it out. Brady loves it because of all the freebies. Colby loves it cuz of the petting zoo. I like it because I can brag about my good fortune! :)

First off, we really, really REALLY wanted to take the boys to the demolition derby! (CARNAGE!!) We knew they would totally freak out about it! We were planning to go until we realized they were CHARGING to go to it, and not a nominal fee, I'm talking about an arm, and a leg AND your firstborn child! We were bummed, but we still meandered around the fairgrounds.

We ended up at the vintage car show. (And I quote FrammaJo, "I remember when these cars first came out! And they were brand new!!" LOL) My brother, Micah, is a CAR FANATIC!! I don't mean casual affair with cars, he lives and breathes them. When I want to know something about a car (like 'what does 710 mean?') he can tell me.

So guess how FREAKED OUT I was when I found his DREAM CAR!! All shiny and pretty just sitting there showing off it's stuff. It was a 1969 Chevy Camaro SSRS (RS means RARE lol) convertible! I freaked out and I'm screaming, "mom! mom! I have to take apicture! Micah is going to FLIP OUT!!"

Here it is in all it's awesome glory! It's even yellow with the dual pinstripes.

So I'm freaking out about this car and the owner, a dude sitting there watching me says, "you wanna sit in it?"

UM - - LET me think about this. . . YES?!?!? So i'm freaking out! I get inside! I'm like "mom, take a picture!!" I'm drooling all over the seats and Brady asks if he can get in. The guy says, "Yeah, but only because your mom is a blonde." LOL!!!!!!

It was HILARIOUS! I kept saying "Thank You! This is so awesome!!" and He said, "Anything for a pretty blonde like you." LOL!! My mom muttered "there's only one blonde he'd let sit there" making it apparent redheads like her don't like blondes like me! LOL - -

So I couldn't help but rub it . . and then some.

So then, we meander to the KOSY 106.5 booth where you can spin the wheels for prizes. Brady steps up and spins. He loses. He cries. ok not really, but he wasn't very happy. Colby steps up. He spins. HE WINS! The guy was like, "ok I have this CD, or this book. . . " then he looks at me and he's all "or I have these last 4 tickets to the demolition derby tonight."

DEMOLITION DERBY!?!??!?! Heck yes!!! I nearly mauled him to get them out of his hands!!

Frammajo called it "the Law of Attraction." some call it fate. I call it, "I can't change my hair color, because Blondes do have more fun!" :)

So here are some pix of the demolition derby carnage. Sorry they are hard to see. I forgot my REAL camera and had to settle for my cell phone. The first picture was a car catching on fire. (wicked awesome) and the 2nd one was a car that nearly blew it's radiator. The carnage was pretty awesome and nobody got hurt! And of course, My Colby that started it all for us :)
