AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Sometimes I forget that I have boys that do silly, crazy, no-reason-behind-them-whatsoever, boy things!
Yesterday, I went for a jog with my friend, and my friend's husband (yes, you read that right - -not MY husband, my FRIEND's hubby) calls and says, "Hey, is Brady supposed to have the hose turned on?" I said 'NO, tell him to turn it off'.

I thought nothing more of it. .. .

NEXT DAY, Today, Sunday, we're home from church and the boys are BEGGING to go outside because it's so nice. So I say, 'ok, if you stay in the front yard.'
About 20 minutes later, Brady comes in and says the infamous last words, "hey, mom. you'd better come see this."
I loudly sigh, complaining that 'i'm so tired. i don't want to do this. It's too hard to get up off the couch when i'm so comfy' but begrudingly follow anyways.
I follow him to the side of our house and there is a GINORMOUS, HUMONGOUS swamp on the side of our house. . .I asked the obvious 'what's this?' probably more out of shock than anything.
Brady, feigning innocence with his big green eyes, says, "I don't know. Someone left the water on."

YES, SOMEONE left the water on ALL NIGHT!!!! So much so that the side of our yard was now a swamp complete with alligators, 1/2 foot of water like a fish bowl in our window well spilling over into our basement. . Yes, our basement was totally flooded!! Thank goodness it's not finished!!
so what did I do? The same thing every damsel in distress does...

I SCREAMED FOR CHUNK!!!! Chunk was as shocked and unsure of what to do as I was. Eventually, we just put buckets and totes under the window and shrugged our shoulders, like well we have to get water out of the window well somehow.

LOL - and I wish I had a picture, but Chunk had to clean off my computer because of a virus that it caught and I have to reload everything. So hopefully soon you can see the beautiful 'Loch Genessy' in our basement.
And if you're worried about Brady - - he only got grounded for a week. . . lol
