**StAr StRuCK**

OH MY GOSH!! So today - I went to lunch with my Dad. He works downtown in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. He asked me if I wanted to eat in the Church Office Building's Cafeteria. I said sure! Unaware that I was about to be STAR STRUCK!!
First, we were walking underground in the parking lot, and a car came up behind us suddenly. I grabbed my dad's jacket and pulled him out of the way and a car drove past. Inside, and politely waving at us was President Henry B. Eyring! My dad said, "did u recognize him?" Well yah! LOL
Just that ALONE would have made my day. He's one of my favs - that President Eyring :).
We go inside to eat and while we're sitting there, my dad points out the former Patriarch of the Church (who's name I can't remember) who just turned 101. He was so cute, walking around with his cane, and smiling at people. . . .don't worry! This gets better!
We finish up and walk out and my dad says, "hey let me introduce you to Elder Childs." Mind you, I've never really shook hands with a General Authority before. Elder Childs is in the 1st Quorum of the Seventy. And he said, "hello, wonderful to meet you." I was like "nice to meet you too." And my Dad, not missing a beat says, "She wanted to meet a General Authority today." LOL!! I felt like such a kid again! And Elder Childs says, "Well, it's great to make your aquaintance." and I said some dumb Ane thing like, "well, great. Now I can cross you off my list." DUH!
So we're walking into the parking garage again and I'm rambling On and on and on about how I feel so star struck and like such a groupie, when another car drives past, and it's the new Apostle!! Elder Quentin L. Cook and he smiles and waves at us. And we wave back!!!
And i thought just seeing President Eyring would have made my whole day! It was soooo awesome! I'm still all giddy about it!
Besides being all star struck and stuff - - it was sure fun to spend lunch with my dad. That doesn't happen very often. :)
What a great day!
